This is not a ‘how to’ but a recommendation
A sentence in the famous Ben Carson’s book – Gifted hands reads thus “Dress the way you want to be addressed” and I’m sure there’re so many quotable quotes related to dressing that if I decided to start writing them down now, it would drive my focus away from the very precarious situation in which planet earth has found herself in due to the catastrophic dress-ups of some inhabitants of this same planet.
In case you’re still in the dark, this ‘precarious situation’ has to do with our dress sense basically. The rate at which erroneous fashion tastes trend these days is sickening and somethings have to be done.
For every breathing human in this world, I think it is profound we learn our colors .Like learn them and how to mix them really. I even think that should be a basic fashion knowledge we all should acquire. I mean, some people go about committing magnificent color blunders that are blinding. (Females who do this are worse. They go about looking like a lost inverted rainbow).
Meanwhile I know some guys (and quite a number of babes too) are developing this uncanny liking for ripped clothing. From our trousers to our shirts (and tee’s too) and even our headgears. As much as the older generation might think this new trend (it’s quite old now) sickening, we the younger ones like to see it as freedom – to do whatever we like with our clothing. But please if you’re not a professional ‘ripper’, keep your ripping to the barest minimum or give a professional to help you out. Better still; buy one that is already ripped.
Also this issue of rocking headgears at will regardless of how it looks on you should be addressed too. You really have to get it into your head that not all caps fit everyone, just as not all caps fit all wears. You just have to find the balance between it fitting you and also fitting the cloth you have on. I mean… a ball cap would definitely not match a cooperate dressing would it? Now we want to be sensible and do the right thing.
Lest I forget, the use of accessories is worth taking a look at too. Some are of the belief that putting on a lot of heavy chains and rings signifies just how rich one is. However, I think it’s totally uncalled for. There are a lot of other ways to flaunt your wealth if you really must (not that I find it necessary though). By the way, “less is more”. A simple but sophisticated chain or ring (or both…however you like it) might do a little more than the trick you need done.
PS:  We all know the essence of shades is to tone down the amount and Intensity of light entering our eyes while still looking great. So unless you have a bulb of about half a million megawatts peering straight into your face when you’re indoors, keep your shades for use when outside in the sun.
Footwear! Honestly I go through a lot trying not to reprimand people for the state of their footwear. For heaven’s sake if you can’t keep them clean or you’d misuse them, why buy them? (And no one should grate on my nerves more by saying it’s because they have money) I see people with unkempt and roughly used footwear as lazy and although you may decide my thoughts don’t matter but just try taking good care of your footwear. Starting now. Don’t over-work it and keep it clean. Better still if you think you have issues with patience in cleaning or maintenance of footwear; buy ‘user-friendly’ footwear – those that wouldn’t stress you in terms of maintenance.
Now that you’ve read this, go ahead and take a critical look at your wardrobe , sieve through it and take the pain to make changes. Trust me; the planet would see you in a whole new light.
PS: Stick around okay? A few more tips should come up soon. But while I work my pretty ass off trying to find ways to keep your wardrobe healthy, why don’t you work on these recommendations and let them surprise you?
                Peace.

Oladimeji.
